I’m a mom, I’m a musician, I’m an educator.

I’m the founder and lead educator here at GervaisCreative. With a Bachelor’s in Music Education and a Master’s in Jazz Performance and Pedagogy, I’ve had the privilege of teaching music for over 15 years to students of all ages and skill levels.

I’ve never been able to settle on just one thing—and found myself diving into every genre, ensemble, classroom, and instrument I could get my hands on. You could say I’m a bit of a music generalist. Because of this, I’ve had the chance to cross paths with a wide range of musicians, and through that, I discovered what I’m most passionate about: bringing people from all different abilities and walks of life together to share music. My diverse interests allow me to offer services across all music ensembles, classrooms, performances, and genres. I’m comfortable in every music setting - and love building connections across ensembles.

As a "choose your adventure" kind of teacher, I’m most excited to work with students who are passionate about reaching their creative goals while executing technical foundations to get them there. I also love supporting fellow educators by providing tools, tips, and resources that help build confidence and enhance their teaching practices.

To me, music is more than just a hobby or activity - it’s a lifeline. It's a profound way to connect with others, express what words often can’t, and unite us across time and space. In a world that can sometimes feel disconnected, music has the power to remind us that we’re all in this together.
